Our Commitment to Privacy

At Unlooped, we believe your personal data belongs to you. We've designed the app so that we don't see, store, or sell any of it. This policy explains what stays on your device, what we never collect, and the few narrow exceptions that touch Apple.

Data We Collect

None — on our servers. Unlooped does not have its own backend that stores your information.

Data Stored on Your Device

Everything you do in Unlooped lives on your iPhone:

• Habit names, descriptions, and categories
• Completion records, streaks, and setbacks
• Notes and mood entries
• Reminder preferences
• App settings and preferences
• Private AI coach conversations (Premium)

iCloud Sync

If you're signed in to iCloud on your iPhone, Unlooped syncs your habit data through your personal iCloud account so the app works across your Apple devices:

• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• It lives in your iCloud account, not ours — we cannot access it
• Syncing is controlled by your iCloud settings; signing out of iCloud (or disabling iCloud Drive for Unlooped) stops the sync

No Analytics, No Crash Reports

We do not run any analytics SDKs, telemetry, or crash reporting in Unlooped. We don't know how many times you open the app, which screens you visit, or whether the app crashed. If something breaks for you, please email us — that's how we find out.

Premium Subscriptions

If you subscribe to Premium:

• Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store
• The App Store tells your device whether your subscription is active — that's the only signal we use
• We do NOT receive your payment information, name, or email
• Apple's privacy policy governs payment processing

Data We Don't Collect

We explicitly do NOT collect:

• Your name, email, or contact information
• Account credentials (no account required)
• Location data
• Your habit names, completion data, or coach conversations
• Advertising identifiers
• Any personally identifiable information

The Private AI Coach

The Premium private AI coach is powered by Apple Intelligence and runs entirely on your iPhone:

• All processing happens on your device's Neural Engine
• The coaching runs entirely on-device — there is no server or cloud inference step
• The coach reads your habit history to give context-aware responses; that data lives on your device and syncs only through your own private iCloud, never our servers
• Requires an iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer, iOS 26+). On older devices, the coach responds with helpful pre-written templates instead

Data Sharing

We do NOT share, sell, or rent your personal data to third parties. Period.

• No advertising networks
• No data brokers
• No third-party analytics or telemetry SDKs
• No social media integrations that track you

Data Retention and Deletion

Your Control

• All data is stored on your device under your control
• Delete the app to remove all local data
• Signing out of iCloud (or disabling iCloud Drive for Unlooped) removes the synced copy

Our Retention

• We don't store any personal data on our servers — there is nothing to retain

Children's Privacy

Unlooped is safe for users of all ages:

• We do not knowingly collect data from children (or anyone else)
• No account or personal information required
• No third-party advertising
• Rated 4+ on the App Store

Security

We take security seriously:

• All data stored using Apple's secure frameworks
• iCloud data encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• No passwords or login credentials to compromise
• Private habits can be locked behind Face ID (Premium)
• Code follows Apple's security best practices

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is visible in the app
• Delete: Remove the app to delete all local data
• iCloud: Manage the synced copy from iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud

Third-Party Services

Unlooped uses these Apple services:

• iCloud: Habit data sync when signed in (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
• StoreKit: In-app purchases for Premium (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
• Apple Intelligence: Powers the private AI coach on supported devices (on-device only)
• UserNotifications: Local reminders (no data leaves your device)

We do not use any third-party services, SDKs, or tracking tools.

International Users

Unlooped is available worldwide:

• All data processing happens on your device
• No cross-border data transfers (we don't collect data)
• Compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time:

• Changes will be posted on this page
• Significant changes will be announced in the app
• Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes
